Please get your twins Portuguese passports from Portugal’s Embassy in London.
Your children do not qualify for British citizenship since none of their parent is British.
You are citizens of an EU member state, your children though you are citizens of an EU member state, all you need to do is apply for passports for them.
Edit: Portugal is in the European Union, you are citizens of a country which is an EU member state
I wasn’t trying to be unpleasant I was just making the point, badly, that as you are Portuguese you can travel & settle where you like in the EU & all you need is your passport, you don’t require a visa and your children don’t require visas, just their passports
People can say what they like to about living in the UK, you have a legal right to be here under current legislation, just as they have a legal right to up sticks & move to Portugal so just ignore them
your children will be Portuguese nationals
you will need to register them and gain a Portuguese passport for them both
or what ever documents Portuguese use to travel.
I do not consider myself to be European i am British.
what is so wrong with your own country that you choose to leave it and live in mine.
I like Portuguese people, ignore that other man. I think you will need passports for the babies, either UK or Portuguese it doesn’t matter which as long as they have one. I think they will be entitled to dual citizenship anyway.
to be safe in traveling? always have passport on hand for the whole family,if you only travel by land? some picture id will suffice,
you do not need a visa, you are saying that you are Portuguese?
no visa to go to your own country.
